THE WHAT? New Tiffany owner, LVMH is said to have ordered employees of the jewelry brand back to the office, starting in March, according to a report published by The Wall Street Journal.
THE DETAILS An internal memo seen by the newspaper revealed that the US designer label wants New York-based employees to adopt a ‘hybrid approach to onsite-remote working’, attending the office for two days per week and working from home for the remainder.
THE WHY? LVMH believes that physical presence is an important part of a successful and collaborative culture, a person close to the matter told the WSJ. With new leadership in place, presumably, the French luxury goods conglomerate wants face-to-face meetings, regardless of the risk posed by the still-high COVID-infection rate in the city.
