Cult beauty brand MAC has launched six fragrances that are inspired by its bestselling lipsticks, Ruby Woo, Lady Danger, Heroine, Velvet Teddy, Creme d’Nude and Candy Yum-Yum.
The scents, named Shadescents, are said to encapsulate the lipsticks, which go on sales in Harrods today and the rest of the UK on 1 December.
Candy Yum-Yum is said to have a fruity sweet scent while Ruby Woo is a woody-floral fragrance, with Crème d’Nude having a toffee smell.
MAC’s senior vice president and group creative director James Gager said, “We have a fan base attached to certain lipstick shades. It was a very different exercise in the way a fragrance was developed.”
