THE WHAT? Sharon Chuter and her non-profit organisation Pull Up For Change are re-launching its Make It Black campaign for the fourth season, which aims to raise funds for Black founders.
THE DETAILS The current campaign teams up with beauty brands Neutreogena, ColourPop Cosmetics, e.l.f. Cosmetics and Uoma Beauty, which will repackage certain products in black and will be available throughout February.
THE WHY? The campaign originally launched in June 2020 following the uprising of the Black Lives Matter movement, described as a ‘social call-to-action that demanded companies to publicly disclose the number of black employees in their corporate office and leadership roles to help dismantle a system that has led to low economic participation for black people.’
