Manufacturers target Indian men with male sunscreen

Indian men are now being targeted with specialist male sunscreen options from both the mass market brands and premium ranges.

Following the success of male grooming products in the market, many of the larger manufacturers are now focusing on the emerging male beauty consumer as a target for sunscreen options.

Garnier, L’Oréal Paris and Nivea have all created products under the Rs1000 crore price point while products from Laneige Homme, Kiehl’s Dermatologist Solutions, Clinique for Men, Jack Black, Shiseido and Neutrogena Men all come in at the higher end of the market.

The increased amount of sunscreen product targeted specifically at male consumers comes as there is a growing awareness of beauty within the market and an increased understanding of the harmful rays of the sun and the health problems it can cause.
