American direct selling cosmetics company Mary Kay has announced that it is expanding operations to Colombia.
The company, which currently operates in 35 countries and has a network of 3.5 million Independent Beauty Consultants, has invested US$8 million into entering the Colombian market.
Mary Kay executives from the US, Mexico, Brazil and Argentina have collaborated with Mary Kay Colombia executives in all aspects of the expansion, from market research to tailoring the Mary Kay opportunity to the Colombian market. Independent Beauty Consultants from Mary Kay’s US and Mexico sales force will mentor leaders in the new Colombian teams.
