Maybelline Thailand launches new AR campaign to ‘share positivity digitally’ during COVID-19 pandemic

THE WHAT? Maybelline Thailand has launched its new #SpreadGoodVibes campaign through MRM Thailand in a bid to ‘share positivity digitally during the COVID-19 pandemic”, according to Branding In Asia.

THE DETAILS Using augmented reality, Maybelline has recruited five influencers to front the campaign, and has created three new make-up looks that are said to “celebrate the brand’s pillars of strength, passion and positivity.”

Content includes tutorials for make-up looks and product education, with an interactive Augmented Reality filter launched on the brand’s Facebook page and Instagram.

Sukanya Kiravittaya, Brand General Manager, Maybelline Thailand, said, “It is important to always stay positive, especially during this challenging period.”

THE WHY? With mandatory lockdowns still in place across many parts of the globe, consumers are continuing to increase their digital engagement, with brands capitalizing on the captive audience.

Kiravittaya continued, “Maybelline is a brand that keeps promoting positive vibes and we would like to bring joy and lift Thai spirits. We hope that the fun AR technology will help encourage people to share their passion, as well as to take care of their emotional wellbeing as we go through this unprecedented crisis.”
