Pantone has unveiled its Fashion Color Trend Spring 2018 Report, and it looks like we’re going to be seeing a whole lotta yellow on the catwalk and in store.
And its no wonder, as yellow is the archetypal gender neutral color, and Pantone’s report has, for the first time, been stripped of its male-female divide. Instead, there’s 12 shades for everyone.
“The world of industrial design and product design is finally opening up to the idea of using more color. If people can see rose tones and metallic that are new, fresh and exciting in their electronics, they’re going to want to see it in shoes, accessories, clothing and fashion,” Leatrice Eiseman, Pantone Color Institute Executive Director told WWD.
