THE WHAT? Bulgaria’s Deputy Minister of the Economy and Industry, Dimitar Danchev has outlined plans to develop trade between his country and Morocco, according to a report published by the Sahara News.
THE DETAILS Danchev said there was great potential for Bulgarian exports to Morocco, particularly in the cosmetics and food sectors. And, thanks to its geographical position, to expand further into Africa from there.
THE WHY? Bilateral trade between the two nations has risen more than 35 percent in the last year, per Sahara News, with exports from Bulgaria growing 14 percent. Said Danchev, “We very much appreciate the fact that Morocco is a key partner of the EU, African countries and the MENA region and this is an opportunity for us to forge new partnerships.”
