Myntra Beauty to make bricks and mortar debut

Online fashion platform Myntra is set to launch a chain of bricks and mortar stores for its beauty offer, according to a report published by the Economic Times.

The Flipkart-owned retailer is said to be looking for franchisees to operate its beauty stores, which will follow the Sephora model with a footprint of approximately 3,000 to 4,000 square feet and carry a similar selection of brands to those it sells online, which include MAC, Clinique and Bobbi Brown from the Lauder stable. The first outlet is expected to open its doors in Bengaluru towards the close of this year / beginning of 2019.

“Beauty and personal care is a fast-growing segment for us which has been growing 400 percent year-on-year. Today we have over 250 leading brands across make-up, skin care, bath & body, perfumes and beauty appliances,” Ananth Narayanan, CEO of Myntra-Jabong told the Economic Times.
