Cosmetics maker Nature Essence has gone on sale for Rs600 crore and is hoping to attract investors such as Godrej, Emami, Dabur India and Marico.
According to Livemint.com, a source claims that the New Delhi-based beauty company has hired advisory firm Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu to help find a buyer.
Harsh Agarwal, Director Emami, is said to have denied interest in the company, however, smaller more regional brands such as Nature Essence have been eyed by many larger companies in a bid to expand their portfolios. Examples include the acquisition of Kerala-based Indulekha hair oil, purchased by Hindustan Unilever.
