Nippon Shikizai acquires Orléans Cosmetics in a bid to grow in European market

Nippon Shikizai has acquired French cosmetics supplier Orléans Cosmetics through its European subsidiary Thepenier Pharma Industrie in a bid to develop its offerings in the French and European markets. 

The company is looking to grow its global development and expand its product range, and has looking specifically at developing its R&D capabilities while also boosting its production scope. 

Speaking in a press release, the company said, “As part of its important group management strategy, Thépenier Pharma will extend its product portfolio and know-how in the makeup category, and will be able to offer a full range of made in France products and services, similar to those already proposed by Nippon Shikizai in Asia and in North Alerica. Through this transaction, the Group will be able to increase its global production capacity and to accelerate globalization of its research and development, and marketing activities.”

 The acquisition of French OEM Orléans Cosmetics is also hoped to optimize the Japanese company’s activity in Europe with a boost to the group’s industrial organization there.
