THE WHAT? Nykaa owner, FSN E-commerce Ventures has announced the appointment of Vishal Gupta as Executive Vice President, Consumer Beauty, according to a report published by the Economic Times.

THE DETAILS Gupta joins the e-commerce company from Unilever where he has worked across a number of senior roles, having joined the UK-based FMCG giant in 1995. Most recently, he held the title of Vice President, Beauty & Personal Care for the Russian market.

“I look forward to scaling the existing brands and creating new memorable ones that will further help serve the unmet beauty needs of the consumer,” he said, per the Economic Times.

THE WHY? Falguni Nayar, Founder and CEO of Nykaa told the Economic Times, “Vishal has the responsibility of carrying Nykaa’s rich legacy, taking the brand to even greater heights and into more consumers’ hearts. With his wealth of industry experience and passion for the beauty space, we are excited to see what Vishal will deliver.”
