Malaysian e-commerce site Hermo has teamed up with L’Oréal to become the first online beauty retailer in the country to carry the French beauty giant’s full complement of mass market brands.
Products from L’Oréal Paris, Maybelline, Garnier, Biotherm and Clarisonic will be listed for sale on the website from August 1, 2015.
The e-commerce retailer currently carries an array of popular Korean and Taiwanese brands including Laniege, Nature Republic, Acca Kappa and Tony Moly. The site attracts 550,000 visitors every month.
“In the earlier days of Hermo’s humble beginnings it was very difficult to convince big and renowned brands to go online with Hermo as they were more comfortable and sure of their traditional marketing channels,” explained Ian Chua, Co-Founder of Hermo in an interview with Marketing. “With this very exciting and promising partnership with L’Oréal, the market leader in Malaysia, consumers can now have their favorite L’Oréal Paris make-up remover or Maybelline mascara delivered directly to their doorstep.”
