Organisers cancel Sun Protection & Anti-ageing Skin Care Conference Asia 2015

London-based events organiser Summit Events today announced that its next Sun Protection & Anti-ageing Skin Care Conference Asia, originally scheduled to be held on July 8 and 9 in Singapore, will be postponed until July next year.

The event had been due to focus on four principle areas: Sun Damage and Ageing of Skin; Sun Protection and Anti-ageing Skin Care Strategies and Benefits; Regulatory and Consumer Impact and Testing; and Anti-ageing and Sun Care Technologies.

An international selection of speakers was confirmed last month yet organisers have decided that the event will be more successful if it is run biennially.

Sue Trousdale, Managing Director of Summit Events, commented, “Our two highly-successful London-based conferences – the Sun Protection Conference and the Anti-ageing Skin Care Conference – run biennially, and we have found this format to work the best.

“It takes time for new innovations to surface and for the industry to develop. With that in mind, we feel that a biennial event for Asia will allow us to put together content that is more insightful and current, which will better serve our participants’ needs.”

The inaugural Sun Protection & Anti-ageing Skin Care Conference Asia took place in Singapore on July 9 and 10 2014, and attracted the participation of more than 80 industry professionals from across the globe. The Asia conference was introduced specifically to cater to the Asia personal care market.

Additional details on the next installment will be made available at a “later time,” the company states.
