Oriflame signs up IT vendor IBM in €46 million deal

Swedish direct sales cosmetics Oriflame has handed IT vendor IBM an outsourcing €46 million contract which sees it support the company’s IT and financial operational services.

A seven year contract, Oriflame is said to be drawing on IBM’s IT experience in analytics, cognitive systems and cloud-based services in order to move forward with its growth strategy and digital business transformation in IT and Finance.

IBM will be working on customer focus, productivity and automation to its technology and internal processes, according to Infotechlead.com.

The direct sales company is hoping to save around €3 million a year through the deal, which it will reinvest into further IT development.

Anita Karlsson-Dion, VP Client Services, IBM Global Business Process Services, said, “We have implemented IBM Design Thinking techniques to help build solutions which deliver a better user experience. We’re very confident that this will bring a customer-oriented focus to the delivery of IT and financial services for Oriflame.”
