P&G sells Newbridge plant to Mapaex

THE WHAT? Procter & Gamble has sold its Newbridge, Co Kildare plant to Mapaex, according to a report published by RTE.

THE DETAILS Employees were informed of the change of ownership via a Zoom call and all are expected to retain their jobs, terms and pension rights.

The deal, which includes a 10-year supply agreement for P&G’s oral care and Braun business, is expected to complete next year.

THE WHY? Procter & Gamble said that the state-of-the-art facility was ‘under-utilised’ per RTE and that the deal would enable the site to take on additional work.

  1. P&G selling out to a limited company.Letting down all their workers in Newbridge. Where are their principles now that they love to preach about and the value they see in their people.
