P&G’s Taylor joins initiative to tackle lack of diversity at board level

The CEO of Procter & Gamble, David Taylor, has joined an initiative launched by the New York Stock Exchange’s Board Advisory Council to connect diverse candidates with companies on the hunt for new board members, according to a report published by the Cincinnati Business Courier.

“I am excited to be part of the NYSE’s Board Advisory Council to help address the diversity and equality gap that exists in many board rooms around the world,” Taylor said in a statement, per the Cincinnati Business Courier. “At P&G, we know we will be stronger and more successful if we have a diverse, inclusive and gender-qual company all the way from entry level to the board of directors.”

Of P&G’s 11 board members, four are women, one of whom, Amy Chang, is of Asian origin.
