Philippines-based personal care manufacturer Splash Corp has announced a triple-digit increase in net income for the first half of 2015. Net income soared 133 percent when compared to the first semester of 2014 to reach PHP93 million.
The company saw revenues from its personal care business in the Philippines grow 17 percent, thanks to an increase in user-base for flagship product Maxipeel prompted by new packaging and advertising, and the strong performance of market-leading whitening range SkinWhite.
Sales of personal care products overseas increased by 19 percent; the company’s core markets include Africa, the Middle East and Indo-China.
First-half gross profit jumped 20 percent to reach PHP1.1 billion and operating profit leapt 64 percent to PHP110 million.
