Plastic products design company RPC Group has revealed plans to grow its global business, as part of its Vision2020 strategy. Sales outside Europe currently account for just 14 percent of RPC’s total business.
According to a the company’s Capital Markets Day presentation, the packaging firm is looking for solid platforms or greenfield sites to create a meaningful international presence in a bid to capitalize on the 5.6 percent growth forecast for the rigid plastics market outside Europe, as well as pursue selective consolidation in Europe and organic growth.
The group has also acquired flexible plastics tube and caps manufacturer Depiction via its subsidiary, M&H Plastics, according to a report published in Plastics in Packaging, for an undisclosed sum. RPC Group purchased M&H Plastics last year for £103.5 million as part of a sustained spending spree which saw the company snap up Helioplast, Ace, PET Power, Promens and Inocan for a total spend of £630 million. The group has not ruled out further acquisitions in pursuit of growth.
