Budget retailer Primark has whipped up a media storm with the launch of its latest make-up range. A report published in The Sun compares the range directly to similar products produced by Estée Lauder-owned MAC.

The Primark Beauty Candy line includes a nine-shade eyeshadow palette, which The Sun claims is a ‘dead ringer’ for a MAC palette, without the prestige price tag. Primark beauty has also unveiled a range of eye pigments, which bear a resemblance to one of MAC’s cult products, Pigment pots.

Pricing for Primark’s range starts at £1.50, while similar products at MAC cost £16. Primark Beauty’s Candy range also includes lipsticks, an eye, lip and cheek palette and nail polish – all based around the color of the moment, millennial pink.
