THE WHAT? P&G India has extended its benefits package eligibility to partners of its LGBTQ+ employees, according to a report published by Devdiscourse.
THE DETAILS From April 1, 2022, partners of LGBTQ+ employees will be able to avail themselves of both relocation assistance as well as the company’s medical plan, and additional benefits, a privilege previously reserved for married employees only.
THE WHY? P&G Vice President and Head of HR, Indi, PM Srinivas told Devdiscouse, “At P&G, our goal is to create a fully inclusive workplace where our employees feel included and are able to bring their authentic selves to work every day. In line with that, we are proud to shape our company offered comprehensive benefits to a fully inclusive and equality-based program which extends to partners of LGBTQ+ employees.
We will also continue to strengthen our awareness and training programs that sensitise our people on LGBTQ+ diversity. We hope that this will enable us to strengthen our company’s culture, in spire change and create a more positive societal impact.”
