Procter & Gamble names new CIO to accelerate IT development

Procter & Gamble has named Javier Polit as its new CIO, effective immediately, according to a report published by CIO.com.

Polit replaces Linda Clement-Holmes, who is retiring from the role after a 35-year career with the US FMCG giant. He joins P&G from The Coca Cola company, where he has held the role of Global CIO since 2007.

“Javier’s appointment as CIO is an intentional commitment to accelerate the business application of IT capability, while strengthening our IT function,” said David Taylor, P&G CEO. “He has a strong track record of leading IT innovation as well as developing top IT talent – skills he’ll apply directly and swiftly at P&G.”
