Procter & Gamble supports Hurricane Laura relief efforts with personal care donation

THE WHAT? Procter & Gamble is supporting the Hurricane Laura relief efforts and is assisting families, individuals and first responders in need of personal care items, cleaning products or laundry services.

THE DETAILS In collaboration with Matthew 25: Ministries, the company is distributing free personal care kits that include everyday essentials as well as cleaning products to ‘meet basic hygiene and home care needs directly into the affected areas of those impacted by the disaster.’

P&G has also deployed the Tide Loads of Hope Mobile Laundry Units, and is offering free, full-service laundry to residents affected by the hurricane.

The service started on 1st September, with the personal care kits being distributed directly into the affected areas. The packs include brands Always, Bounty, Charmin, Crest, Dawn, Febreze, Ivory, Gillette, Mr. Clean, Olay, Old Spice, Oral-B, Pampers, Pantene, Secret, Swiffer, Tampax, Tide and Venus.

THE WHY? Category 4 Hurricane Laura devastated much of Louisiana, leaving many without power and clean water, with companies pulling on business resources to support victims.

P&G stated, “P&G has a history of giving back to the communities where we live and work, and we want to provide everyday essentials to those who need it most to help bring a sense of normalcy in this time of need. These services are free and available to people affected by the disaster and the volunteers who are helping to respond.”
