Procter & Gamble’s US$50 million extension of Reading facility nears completion

Procter & Gamble is set to cut the ribbon on a US$50 million upgrade and extension of its UK R&D center in 2020, according to a report published by the Cincinnati Business Courier, as improvements to the US FMCG giant’s Reading facility are on track for completion by the end of the year.

The manufacturer of Pampers has renovated its original Gillette building and added new laboratories, offices and warehousing facilities, spanning 75,300 square feet in total.

The new facility is set to welcome some 250 employees relocated from Egham, Surrey, early next year, upping the number of employees based at the site from the current 200 to some 500 together with the creation of new roles.
