PZ Cussons appoints Emergent to boost Amazon sales

THE WHAT? PZ Cussons has bought in Threepipe-owned Emergent to help drive sales on Amazon, according to an article published by Holmes Report.

THE DETAILS Scooping the account via a competitive pitch process, Emergent will help the manufacturer of St Tropez to boost traffic to its store via sponsored product ads, sponsored brands activity and influencer-led campaigns.

“Our Amazon team is going from strength-to-strength. We’ve recruited two more people and more and more conversations with clients are turning to Amazon,” Jim Hawker, Founder of Threepipe told the Holmes Report. “Many brands haven’t had much experience of working with its algorithm; it demands a level of specialism and it can drive improved sales performance in a short space of time.”

THE WHY? As Emily Bidder, Brand Activation Manager, Online and e-tail at PZ Cussons explained in an interview with the Holmes Report, Amazon is an important channel for the FMCG firm and Emergent impressed with a strategy which will allow the company to maximise the opportunities available across its wider brand portfolio.
