Business owners from Qatar and Tunisia met last week for the two-day Qatari Tunisian economic forum, aimed at boosting trade between the two nations, according to a report published by The Peninsula Qatar.
President and Director General of the Tunisian Export Promotion Center, Aziza Hatira revealed that the Tunisian delegate included representatives from multiple sectors, including the pharmaceutical, cosmetics and household cleaning products industries.
Trade volume between the two countries was up 3.5 percent for the first nine months of the current financial year, reaching QR39.7 percent. During the period, Tunisia exported products worth QR24.8 million to Qatar – although trade is yet to reach the levels hoped for by both countries, said Hatira.
