P&G is taking the name of its best-selling skin care line seriously, trialling a refillable pod for its Olay Regenerist Whips this fall, according to a report published by Marketing Daily.
The US FMCG giant is running the pilot in the US and UK and will sell refill pods for the moisturiser online as well as through select retailers. P&G is hoping to save approximately 500,000 kilos of plastic via the scheme.
“The beauty of working for a company the size and scale of P&G is that we can learn across the different brands and reapply what works,” Anitra Marsh, P&G’s Associate Director of Brand Communications told Marketing Daily. “We will be trying a lot of new things and seeing what works, all with the goal of making more of our packaging reusable of recyclable.”
