Revlon ups standalone presence in India; aims for 100 stores by 2017

Revlon is planning to up the number of exclusive stores it operates on the Indian market in 2017, according to a report published by The Economic Times.

The US color cosmetics brand is planning to bring the number of standalone outlets to 100 by the end of next year. “The new channel that we entered in the last two years is exclusive stores. It is doing very well for us. In the initial years, we were trying to figure out the financial feasibility model but more or less now it is settled for us,” Revlon India Director (Sales and Marketing) Rajiv Kumar Bobal told PTI. “We have 27 outlets to date and this year we would like to end with 30-35 stores… We would like to reach 100 by end of 2017.”

Revlon is predicting that the standalone channel will account for up to 20 percent of sales by next year.
