US packaging company WestRock is looking for a buyer for its soap dispeners and perfume sprayer manufacturing unit, according to a report published by Reuters.
The potential deal is valued at US$1 billion, which amounts to approximately 10 times EBIDTA, and is currently in the second round. Those expected to make a play for the unit include buyout groups Onex, Advent, Bain and CD&R as well as packaging firm RPC. Final bids are expected by mid-December.
“WestRock is evaluating a wide range of strategic options for our home, health and beauty business,” a spokesperson for WestRock told Reuters.
