Sachs Bids Adieu to Tula, Igniting a Leadership Shuffle at P&G Beauty

THE WHAT?  Savannah Sachs, the CEO of skincare brand Tula, is stepping down from her position, with her resignation effective from August 22nd, as confirmed by P&G Beauty. “After five incredible years with Tula Skincare, I’ve decided to move on and find my next adventure,” Sachs announced in a LinkedIn post.

THE DETAILS? Colin Walsh, the second head of P&G’s speciality beauty division, will take over as Tula’s interim CEO. P&G acquired Tula in 2022, marking it as one of several acquisitions to build out its speciality beauty division. Tula, known for its trendsetting focus on microbiome skincare, was estimated to have net sales of around $150 million in 2021.

THE WHY? Sachs’ departure is part of a broader reshuffle within P&G’s speciality beauty division. “It’s rare that multiple acquired brands join a business simultaneously… With this new transition, this is even more important,” P&G Beauty CEO Alex Keith noted on LinkedIn. The changes highlight P&G’s strategy to bolster its position in the speciality beauty market.
