A boost in demand for the Aerie range of lingerie and beauty products over the holiday shopping season helped spur on sales at teen retailer American Eagle Outfitters, according to a report published by Reuters.
Sales were up 3.2 percent at American Eagle Outfitters in the last quarter of the year, spurred on by Aerie’s impressive 26 percent leap, well ahead of the 13.5 percent rise forecast.
Net income increased to US$81.7 million for the three months ended January 30, while net revenue reached US$1.11 billion.
