THE WHAT? Sasa International has re-entered the Singaporean market via the Shopee platform, according to a report published by Retail News Asia.
THE DETAILS The Hong Kong-based retailer made its debut on the country’s leading online shopping platform on February 20.
“The launch of the Sasa official store will allow us to bring a greater variety of beauty products and tools to a wider audience,” Sasa International Chairman and CEO Simon Kwok told Inside Retail Asia. “This will enable us to effectively drive sales growth and lay a solid foundation for the development of our new retail model. We look forward to strengthening our e-commerce business further and are positive that working with Shopee will allow us to achieve success in the near future.”
THE WHY? Having exited the market with the closure of all its bricks and mortar stores last year, the online presence will allow it Sasa to reach this audience without the significant investment a physical presence would entail.
