Saudi Arabia personal care and beauty market booming

According to new data the Saudi Arabia beauty market is enjoying a boom and is currently worth $10.7 billion. Saudi women are also said to be spending big bucks on their appearance, with the per capita reaching $3,800.

Indeed, in the three year period from 2010 to 2013, health and beauty products imported into Saudi Arabia have recorded double-digit CAGR, with the top ten imported products in demand in the country including perfumes, cosmetics, skin care, hair care, oral care, make-up and depilatories.

France is said to be Saudi Arabia’s strongest partner out of the $1.8 billion worth of personal care and cosmetic products being imported, accounting for $342 million of these products. Following France is UAE, Germany, the UK, China, Italy, Bahrain, USA, and Poland.

In a bid to capitalize on the growing importance of the health and beauty sector in Saudi Arabia further, Reed Sunaidi Exhibitions has organized the Saudi Health & Beauty 2015 exhibition. Now in its second year the event will run from 25th to 28th November and will showcase premium and niche beauty brands, organic products, and other wellness brands.

Salah Al Masry, General Manager of Hair Creators Academy, said, “We are taking part in Saudi Health & Beauty 2015 exhibition because we strongly believe in the true value of the event. This event presents an unrivaled opportunity to meet with all parties within the hair and beauty salon sector, which is currently experiencing unprecedented and constant growth in Saudi Arabia. It is therefore our aim through our attendance and participation in this event to answer all questions from visitors and participants, as well as to assist in the further development and improvement of the hairdressing and beauty profession.”

The exhibition is a chance for distributors to source new products, professionals to learn about the latest trends and techniques and for key industry players to network while discussing vital issues, concerns and information about the industry. Likewise consumers can come to the event to learn more about women’s health and the beauty industry, while looking at new brands and salon products.

In a bid to drive the market further forward, the exhibition will showcase global manufacturers and suppliers of premium cosmetic products, hair care and fragrances as well as multi-brand retail health and beauty outlets.
