The female Saudi cosmetics market is set for an 11 percent sales boom between 2017 and 2022 thanks to rising disposable income and hard marketing activity, according to a report by TehSci Research.
The report shows that the sector is set for growth thanks to an increased inclination for cosmetics from women who wish to maintain they youthful looks with innovative products.
Thanks to government schemes the amount of women in employment is set to increase over the coming years, giving rise to a higher disposable income for this consumer group, while a wider distribution network and increasing visibility is also paving the way for a growing sector.
Indeed, such is the development of the market that halal make-up is becoming ever more accessible to female shoppers, with online shopping expected to help this market sector during the growth period.
Karan Chechi, Research Director with TechSci Research, a research based global management consulting firm, told TradeArabia News, “In addition to conventional cosmetics, halal cosmetics, which are free from animal blood, pork and alcoholic content, are in huge demand among Saudi Arabian women, and the same trend is expected to continue over the next five years as well.
