Sederma announces €10 million facility extension to boost production

Croda-owned Sederma has announced a €10 million extension of its Le Perray-en-Yvelines, France facility.

The move will boost the ingredient maker’s innovation scope and its production capacity. Indeed, the investment is also said to help reduce the facility’s environmental impact by creating a reduction in energy and water consumer, while also optimising recycling and decreasing site waste.

Arnaud Fournial, Managing Director, said, “This expansion confirms our ambition to retain Sederma’s leadership as the premium provider of cosmetic ingredients for the personal care market. We will continue to offer superior innovation and technical support to our customers. This is an exciting period for everyone associated with Sederma and we look forward to further success in the future.”

As part of the investment the company will be ‘reinforcing innovation capabilities and the implementation of novel advanced technologies.’

Olga Gracioso, Marketing Director, stated, “The interest of the industry in safe and heavy substantiated plant cell culture products continues to grow at a sustained pace. This investment constitutes a robust foundation in developing the next generation of these innovative products.”
