THE WHAT? Sephora has appointed Guillaume Motte as its new President and Chief Executive Officer, effective 1st January, according to a report by WWD.
THE DETAILS Motte succeeds and report to Chris de Lapuente, who took on the CEO role following the departure of Martin Brok in June.
de Lapuente will continue to act as Chairman and CEO of the Selective Retailing division of Sephora parent company LVMH. Motte was most recently CEO of LVMH Fashion Group.
THE WHY? de Lapuente said: “His experiences over the past two years in LVMH Fashion Group, alongside Sidney Toledano, have broadened his prestige brand-building expertise and deepened his already extensive retail and business skills at a global level. Guillaume is an inspiring and much-admired leader who has always personified Sephora’s unique passion and culture.
