Sephora signs San Francisco’s biggest lease since the pandemic began in HQ move

THE WHAT? LVMH-owned Sephora will be rolling out the packing crates after signing a lease for a new office in San Francisco – the city’s biggest such deal during the pandemic, according to a report published by the San Francisco Chronicle.

THE DETAILS The space spans 286,000 square feet across 16 floors and is located on 350 Mission Street, per the San Francisco Chronicle. The beauty retailer will move into its new HQ next year.

“350 Mission is thoughtfully designed to support and enhance the future of work at Sephora, which puts a strong focus on our employee culture, collaboration and flexibility,” Jeff Gaul, Sephora Senior Vice President of Store Development said in a statement, per the San Francisco Chronicle. “Most importantly, this move consolidates the number of buildings our corporate employees work in and supports our hybrid in-person and remote work practices while providing ample room for growth as Sephora continues to be a leading employer in the Bay Area.”

THE WHY? Sephora is combining its two existing offices at 425 Market Street and 525 Market Street into a single space, according to the San Francisco Chronicle. The space is available after the previous tenant scaled back its offices in the wake of work-from-home mandates.
