THE WHAT? Korean duty free chain Shilla Duty Free is opening a Gucci Beauty metaverse beauty class, according to a report by Korea Economic Global. 

THE DETAILS The Gucci Beauty metaverse non-contact beauty class allows users to create their own avatars, explore the Gucci Beauty House and experience Gucci Beauty products. 

Other features include participating in events through interactive communication, such as watching a beauty class in real time, conversing with other participants and asking questions to performers. 

The beauty class is hosted by TV present Jang Ye-won and beauty influencer Kim Bo-ra. 

THE WHY? The new metaverse Gucci Beauty class is being launched for the first time in the duty-free industry, capitalizing on the increase in cross-industry interaction between beauty and the metaverse.
