Shilip Kumar has been appointed as the President of Henkel India, succeeding Jeremy Hunter, who moves to President of Henkel China.
Kumar will be responsible for spearheading the adhesives and beauty care sectors of the division, as well as continuing his role as Business Director for transportation and metal adhesives SBU in India, Middle East and Africa region (IMEA).
Kumar told Business-Standard.com, “I am pleased to take up the additional responsibility as president of Henkel India. India offers considerable growth potential for Henkel and it will be our endeavour to ensure that we utilise effectively the resources and investments made by our parent company to capitalise on this potential. Our focus remains on delivering innovative technologies and solutions that help create value for our customers in the country.”
As part of his role Kumar will be initially based in the Indian head office at Navi Mumbai before being relocated to IMEA region HQ in Dubai.
