Ronald Gee has been appointed as Chief Financial Officer for the American arm of Tokyo-based cosmetics firm Shiseido.
Gee moves over to Shiseido from his position as CFO for leading beauty manufacturer Coty, and will lead Shiseido Americas’ finance and information technology operations and support regional integration efforts as the company continues to enhance corporate structure for its Shiseido prestige brands in the Americas, including NARS Cosmetics, Bare Escentuals, Shiseido Cosmetics America and Beauté Prestige International USA (BPI), as well as the company’s subsidiaries in Canada and Brazil.
Reporting to Marc Rey, President and CEO of Shiseido Americas, Gee has a wealth of experience in the industry, previously working at L’Oreal USA for ten years, most recently as Vice President of Finance for the International Designer Collections.
Rey said, “I am excited to welcome Ron to the Shiseido family at a time of enormous growth and opportunity in our regional operations. Ron is a proven leader in operational integration and maximizing the potential of a range of cosmetics brands. His vision will be critical as we continue developing our corporate team to support the growing needs of our businesses and work towards our global strategy, Vision 2020. I am confident that he will bring strong guidance to Shiseido Americas, and I look forward to all of his future successes.”
