Shiseido has appointed Jill Scalamandre as President of its newly launched Global Makeup Center of Excellence. Based in New York, the new center will serve as a worldwide innovation hub for the design, development and execution of prestige color cosmetics initiatives across the company’s make-up brands.
Scalamandre, who previously served as Chief Marketing Officer, Skincare, Coty and Senior Vice President, philosophy, will join the company on July 21, 2016, reporting to Marc Rey, President and CEO of Shiseido Americas.
Scalamandre will be charged with leading and supporting projects across the company to enhance and invigorate its prestige color cosmetics capabilities and product offerings as well as creating and nurturing new brands.
“Jill is a highly respected industry executive with a stellar track record and expertise that will benefit all of our make-up brands. I cannot think of a more qualified person to lead our global make-up innovation hub,” said Rey. “The Makeup Center of Excellence will greatly enhance our consumer insights and will help all of our make-up brands move faster and achieve more.
