Shiseido is steadily rising up the rankings which is undoubtedly due to its continued market activity. In the first half of 2019 the company’s Chinese division signed a joint business plan with Alibaba Group to grow this arm of the business, opened a new Shanghai office, opened a Center of Excellence in China and invested between ¥40 and 50 billion on a new plant located in Fukoka Prefecture. The brand itself has seen prolific launch activity, with a new pollution fighting skincare range and the relaunch of its superfood-inspired skincare range, to name a few.
