Shiseido creates new holding company for its personal care business

THE WHAT? Shiseido has created a new holding company for its personal care brands Tsubaki and Senka, with CVC Capital Partners named as a joint investor.  

THE DETAILS Tetsuo Komori has been appointed President and CEO of Fine Today Shiseido, as the new company has been dubbed, and is charged with accelerating innovation through strengthening brand development and global expansion and promoting DX initiatives while maximising investment in people and organizations.

The new corporate symbol and logo will be posted on the company’s website on June 30, 2021.

THE WHY? The move is part of Shiseido’s wider growth strategy and it is hoped that the company will be able to realize further growth and development of the personal care business; Komori has form in the field of business recovery and transformation.
