Shiseido has launched Shiseido Asia Pacific Pte. Ltd (“SAPAC”) in June 2015, which will serve as the core organisation for the regional headquarters of the Asian Pacific arm of the company, which sells skin care, make up, fragrance, sun care and male grooming products.
In a bid to enhance marketing in the region, SAPAC and the other subsidiaries will take over from Japan in the executioning of regional management and brand marketing. The Japanese base will accelerate decisions and reforms.
The forming of SAPAC completes the management framework of Japan, China, Asia Pacific, Americas, EMEA (Europe, the Middle East and Africa) and Travel Retail. It is hoped to help speed up the cultivation of brands demanded by Asian consumers, growing the business in this market.
The full-scale operation of regional headquarters is looking set to take place in 2016, with preparations for this already underway.
