THE WHAT? Shiseido has announced the retirement of External Director Yoko Ishikura, who has been appointed as the Chief Digital Officer of the new formed Digital Agency of Japan.
THE DETAILS Ishikura took on the new position this week, advising the minister and taking the lead in day-to-day operations such as drawing up policies, managing the systems of national and local government organizations, and quasi-public sector business, according to Asia Nikkei.
THE WHY? Having a doctorate in business administration and specializing in business strategies and global human resources, Ishikura will help direct the agency’s goal of encouraging the adoption of technology.
Shiseido said in a statement, “The number of directors of the Company following this retirement meets the requirements stipulated by relevant laws and regulations, as well as the Articles of Incorporation of the Company.
