Shiseido orders 8,000 staff to work from home in Coronavirus precautionary measure

THE WHAT? Shiseido has told 8000 members of its Japanese staff to work from home as a precautionary measure in a bid to stem the spread of the Coronavirus. 

THE DETAILS The head office staff members are being ordered to telework until 6th March and are being asked to avoid travelling on public transport during rush hour. 

The new mandatory policy will include the President of the company as well as other executives but does not include factory workers and sales staff.  

THE WHY? Shiseido is one of many companies within affected regions undertaking measures in a bid to halt the spread of the virus within its workforce.
