Shiseido’s acquisition of D&G license one step closer as EU competition authority gives the nod

The European Commission has waved through the planned acquisition of the Dolce & Gabbana beauty license by Shiseido, according to a report published by Europe Online Magazine.

The EC ruled that the deal, which covers the global licenses for D&G’s fragrance, color cosmetics and skin care portfolio, did not raise any competition concerns.

Thanks to this regulatory approval, the collaboration between the Italian fashion house and the Japanese cosmetics giant is on track to commence as planned on 1st October, 2016.
