ShopGallery plans virtual stores for Argentinian airports

ShopGallery has revealed plans to set up virtual travel retail outlets in Argentina’s 10 international airports, according to a report published by TR Business.

Under the proposal, virtual stores would be installed within ShopGallery’s existing footprint allowing passengers to purchase goods online, which could then be collected at their destination from dedicated e-lockers. The Corporacion America-owned retailer currently operates a Gallery Safe e-locker service at Jorge Newberry International Airport, which allows shoppers to collect goods at their final destination by entering a locker barcode.

“Our focus this year will be technology and innovation,” a ShopGallery spokesperson told TR Business. “Our virtual stores will be the way we can reach new clients by having contact with them in those airports where we do not have real stores.”
