SkinCeuticals’ CUSTOM D.O.S.E named on TIME’s annual 100 Best Inventions list

THE WHAT? SkinCeuticals’ CUSTOM D.O.S.E personalized skincare technology has been named on the Time annual list of the 100 Best Inventions.

THE DETAILS The service, engineered to scan and evaluate consumers’ unique skin needs to create an entirely personalized corrective serum, was developed by L’Oréal’s Technology Incubator in partnership with SkinCeuticals.

Addressing skin types such as tones, concerns, and signs of aging, the formula is completely unique to each consumer.

Guive Balooch, Head of L’Oréal’s Technology Incubator, said, “L’Oréal is using technology to unlock new consumer experiences that allow for deeper levels of personalization.
“We are thrilled to see D.O.S.E scale internationally to reach new consumers around the world and are honored to be recognized on TIME’s 100 Best Inventions List for 2019.”

Nominations were received across a variety of categories from Editors and correspondents around the world, with contender then evaluated on factors including originality, effectiveness, ambition and influence.

THE WHY? With personalization a huge trend in the cosmetics industry, innovation that allows for a customized beauty experience is highly sought after.
