US beauty brand Smashbox Cosmetics has teamed up with Omelet creative agency to launch a 360° virtual reality tour of its photo studios.
The beauty brand, born from the photographic studio Smashbox Studio’s need for camera-ready make-up, will launch the video onto YouTube and Facebook in a bid to give fans a bird’s-eye view of its products, origins and technology.
Ricardo Diaz, Omelet’s Executive Digital Director, said, “From a world renowned photo studio to a best-selling cosmetics brand, Smashbox clearly isn’t a company that’s interested in staying inside the box. Fortunately, neither is Omelet.
“The brand and the people within it are truly a creative force and our goal with this 360° VR tour was to invite fans into the famous Smashbox Studios for the chance to see how multifaceted the company is. We’re proud to be part of that process and look forward to what the future holds for our partnership.”
The video was shot at the brand’s Culver City Smashbox Studios and gives a behind-the-scenes look at photo shoots and sees the brand give a tour of what goes into creating a beauty brand.
